So many lasts. So many memories. Simple times fortified in You.

Tomorrow we will have been back in the U.S. for three months. To capture all of the emotions and feelings that describe the last 10 years of our lives is impossible. But, we are so grateful for simple pictures of simple moments that gave our lives the blood, the real energy to go forward from one day to the next in the trying moments. And, it is all about You, Lord.

Our neighborhood church was the go-to spot, because the doors were almost always open and we needed Your company. Maybe some days were cold, but our time with You there refreshed our souls.

It is so hard to believe 3 months has passed; so much has taken place in the settling and living of daily life while hardly sorting, yet, through all of the changes. But, thank God that You are always with us, and we are with one another, and we can be that understanding for one another as we arrive to a place where everyone has continued life. Words cannot describe the changes or transformations, but the day we arrived home was perfectly chosen by God, and it says it all: The Transfiguration, Aug. 6, 2015.

We are home.

The days are filled with moments only God understands

...we have to trust, and He will get us there.

Just before we left the U.S. again for a new overseas journey and post we made it to our Mama's house, where we will always be at home: the National Shrine. Every time we come home to VA and depart again we spend time in Our Lady's arms and presence and with Our Lord in the sacraments there. So needed before so many transitions and moments of complete abandonment. We each were able to light a candle
and pray, pray, and pray more on the eve of the feast of the Assumption.
