You are 5! Where did these years go as you've grown into such a little lady? It seems like July 1, 2008 was just yesterday. But, we are now 5 years pas that wonderful day, which we remember so well. We are blessed with your life. Thank you for sharing you with us!
You have been riding your 2-wheeler bike fir quite some time now; just as you were 3 years old yo began doing that! You are a little ballerine, who loves ballet class with your sister. You are learning more and more and doing so well as little Suzuki student, and we are always so amazed at your memory with your songs and notes. Daily you give us love with you love notes or bunches of flowers. Every day we are grateful for the love notes or various banners or pictures of the Holy Family, a princess or too, or your trademark bunnies!
We love them all and your thoughts of us always make us so grateful. You are truly a bundle of love with tight hugs to give, a cheek-to-cheek, one-of-a-kind smile, and a super chuckle! We love you, Pita, our Lupine Lady (Dad even had to read Miss Rumphius for bedtime tonight, because you are indeed Miss Rumphius, our flower picker!) And, most of all, a girl who is, like Miss Rumphius, leaving something so beautiful in this world.
Today we celebrated from start to finish with morning Mass and park time at the JK after a delicious breakfast (that Dad had prepared before we took him to work!--pink crepes!)
You got to wear one of your new dresses from Mimi and Papa.
Lunch with Dad. Always a treat! Naps and preparing your cake for the evening grill and party! Presents followed and your big sister was anxious to give them to you and Caleb was helpful in opening some with you too! We love you, Peachy! How fitting that you wanted a rainbow on your cake, because you give us so many reasons to hope, as rainbows do, and to be happy and enjoy the glimmers of sunshine, no matter what rainy day may come or go. Happy birthday, dear Pita, we all love you.
(Devils Food cake with Granache icing and layered with strawberries)
Special presents, opened and enjoyed! A new nightgown came just in time before bedtime.
New flip-flops for a growing girl!
(A Handmade book/journal that Maddy designed and made weeks in advance. She was very happy to give her her special gift of love. It was always sweet to watch Madge use her ruler in the school room to trace on the lines for the journal paper and then finally punch the holes and thread the ribbon through for the binding. Ja feito!)
(Pita laid flowers upon each person's plate, and Madge set a beautiful dinner table.)
This is for your, Peachy! You are a sweet beauty.
