A name is a curious thing. Since the day she could identify herself (be it out of limited listening or pronunciation skills), Maddy has called herself "Mamie." Recent genealogical research indicates that Mamie had a great-great-grandma named Mamie Hoepki (1890-1945). The two Mamie's were born only 126 years apart. I hope she's up in heaven having a laugh and keeping the littlest Mamie in her prayers.
