Beauty Boy!

Happy 11-month birthday, Sweet Face! We love you so much and my goodness, you are loved more than you could ever imagine. I told your sisters the other day to pray for another baby, because I am afraid you may become disjointed because of the two sisters who want to hold you always in two different areas of the house! (Madge told me that she is already praying for another sibling!) You are one sweet joy. One happy, happy boy, with 6 teeth! You LOVE watermelon and we love to watch your "three-legged" crawl! You absolutely get ecstatic when you come in contact with your sisters. I surely cannot imagine life without the blessing of siblings. I told Dad the other day, again, just how much each of your lives bless the others and how after each of your births it has been awesome to love you in our arms, but then the next best thing is seeing your sisters come in and love you. God has been so loving.

It's All About You, Lord.

By: Blessed Mother Teresa

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone may destroy overnight.
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, others may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
Give the world the best you have anyway.
Why?
Because in the final analysis, all of this is between you and God….
It was never between you and them anyway.

Precious Boy

Each time I hold you in my arms, Little Caleb, you snuggle up and nurse. I cannot help but look at you and take in these moments that are fleeting. The moments when you will actually fit in my arms. How dependent you are. You teach me so much: how dependent I am on God. I love you, Sweet Boy. Your sweet little laughs get me each time. I will look at you, and you look at me while you nurse, and then you giggle as you nurse. Ahh. The sweet sounds of you. Sleep well, little angel (with your sisters, in nap time.)
