Beauty in the small and hidden

(2 years ago at our home in Brazil, as Marta was one week old at her dedication and consecration to Our Lady
 in our backyard.)
This weekend we made our way to a  nearby park for a little someone's birthday!

Earlier we had enjoyed a pretty walk through the warm and misty --in places-- Botanical Gardens as we admired all of God's amazing floral and fauna designs. But when we got to the park, I noticed a beautiful set of blossoms, very close to the ground.

That is what the theme of yesterday's feast of the Annunciation showed: in littleness and closeness to Him, His grace is able to flow more steadily, smoothly, without hesitation, because Our Lady never blocked His will with her own desires. Instead, she chose to weave her will into His and allow the tapestry of her life to be His unaltered design.

"My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!" (Lk. 1:46-47).
