A Mt. Vernon Saturday

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend together, which started by a trip to Mt. Vernon, located about 20 minutes from us. It was a crisp, sunny Saturday, perfect for a walk along the vast grounds of Mt. Vernon. We sat at the back of the big house and looked out in the distance to the beautiful Potomac as Maddy talked about birthday cake, and continually wished me happy birthday...a few weeks away.
